Camilla and Ben

Earlier this year I packed up my camera and favourite lenses and jumped on a train to Manchester.  I had never ventured that far north of the country before so it quickly became a bit of an adventure!  Travelling by train is always a treat, I don't know why - I can't say I enjoy any other mode of transport as much.  I wasn't sure what to expect, but wow, Manchester is stunning!  Even before we pulled into the station I was struck by the architecture and the abundance of art installations that seemed to be scattered all over the city.  I didn't think any city could be as visually captivating as Bath (still my favourite city) but Manchester came very close!

It was seriously sunny, a misplaced day of summer in March!  Freckles exploded and I even caught the sun a little.  Perfect for a wedding shoot with Camilla and Ben.  As soon as I'd arrived in Manchester we set off to a huge reservoir and parkland a little journey away.  We made full use of the scenery and the lake and even had fun with a few props too (check out that door!).  Camilla and Ben were fantastic fun to shoot and both looked amazing - I especially liked Ben's snazzy outfit!  We were lucky not to lose them at the end of the shoot as they kept drifting out on the lake (on an inflatable bed no less!) but everyone managed to stay relatively dry and we got some beautiful images!  Thank you Camilla and Ben for a wonderful day in the sun and for your boundless energy! I can't wait for another excuse to visit Manchester again.
